We'll write occasionally — only when there's something real to say.
Social media has failed us.
The internet does not have to feel like this.
It began with a beautiful premise: that people want to share their lives with one another in ways that were once impossible. It promised that distance would not mean disappearance. That a funny photo, a passing thought, an inside joke, a hard day, a small triumph... these things matter more when they're shared. And that to feel seen, even imperfectly, is one of the deepest human comforts.
That premise was true. It still IS true. What failed was the systems built around it, and what they've turned into. Toxic platforms that exist not to deepen human connection or protect our inner lives, but to harvest our attention, study and shape our behavior, and keep us performing in public so our desires, insecurities, and identities can be measured, exploited, and sold. They reward exaggeration over sincerity, reaction over reflection, image over intellect, and they've created the biggest mental health crisis in human history.
Through their greed, they've changed us. We've fallen victim to the business model. We confuse reach with relevance, attention with affection, and virality with value. We are selling to each other. And what we are left with are strange digital cities where the citizens are chosen for you... crowded, loud, endlessly active, and infinitely lonely. When everyone is broadcasting, no one is listening.
There is an answer. But it's not another feed, not a better algorithm, not a more optimized way to compare ourselves, brand ourselves, or disappear into noise. The answer is something different. It's a place built around people we know and care about, not invisible metrics. It's a place where quality connection matters more than reach, and creativity is not flattened into endless promoted content. It's a place where self-expression does not become self-erasure, and where your mind is not mined for profit. Your attention, your inner life, and your sense of self should be treated as sacred, and that's what we're building.
Not an improved version of social media as it exists today, but a rejection of what it became and a return to what it should have been. No bots. No AI. No algorithmic feed. No influencers. No ads. Ever. Just real people, real friendship, and real connection.
We are building something designed to make you feel more like yourself, not less. Something you are excited to open because it nourishes your mind instead of rotting it. Social media doesn't have to make you feel this way. And soon, you'll see that for yourself.
So. If you've gone quiet on the existing platforms, or you're simply waiting for the right moment to leave them without disappearing or losing your stored memories, this is that moment. Join the waitlist and help build a social space for us, not for them. A place for HVMVNs.
